Τελικά αξίζει ένα μπράβο στις κες Τσεβά και Λαμπίρη, ότι κατάφεραν πριν ακόμα η νέα δημοτική αρχή του δήμου Ραφήνας-Πικερμίου, κλείσει 100 μέρες εξουσίας, να βγάλουν το δήμο εκτός ελληνικών συνόρων, με το χειρότερο τρόπο κλείνοντας την βιβλιοθήκη “Marie Blanche”.
Να μου πείτε δεν ήξεραν, ας μάθαιναν πρώτα και μετά να έπρατταν, λέμε εμείς. Κι άλλοι πολλοί δεν ήξεραν, τώρα όμως ξέρουν και παραξέρουν τι σόι πολιτισμό υπόσχονταν προεκλογικά. Ένα κρίμα είναι λίγο για να καλύψει την άγνοια, την έλλειψη σεβασμού και την εμπάθεια που δείχνουν έως τώρα.

Dear Sirs,
I have learned with anger and dismay of the closure of the Marie Blanche Library, which has been an important reference point for the cultural and social life of the community over the past years.
I have known for many years Mrs Niki Tsironi and Mrs Véronique Magnes, valuable scholars, who supported and carried on the project with a passion and enthusiasm that would have deserved much more respect and consideration from you. The initiatives organised at the Library have constantly enriched the cultural life of Rafina and met with constant and well-deserved success. Coming often to Athens for work reasons, I can bear direct testimony to this. The Library was a source of justifiable pride for the municipality of Rafina, and it should become such again.
I therefore ask you to reconsider your decision, which was probably made without a thorough knowledge of the history of the Library and the Cultural Association based there, nor of its impact on the local community.
